Nearly 20 percent of children experience the loss of a family member before they turn 18, with one in 20 children suffering the loss of one or both parents before they reach adulthood. Hospice of Santa Barbara provides individuals in these scenarios with free support by offering numerous programs to help them cope with grief to avoid or minimize depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
