Kenny Slaught Supports Efforts To Build Coping Mechanisms For Children

Kenny Slaught supports the Hospice of Santa Barbara as it continues to get involved with different school levels, from elementary and up to college. Groups of volunteers go to the campuses and organize meetings to help students who went through traumatic experiences. These services offers support and teach teens how to cope with their emotions. The coping skills can prevent kids from getting involved with drugs or alcohol. The hospice also provides courses that teach employees how to communicate with students who are struggling and discuss sensitive topics like violent death. The Hospice of Santa Barbara’s network includes 65 schools, that rely on the hospice to respond fast to any emergency situation.
