Grand Challenges Explorations (GCE) sponsors people all over the world to come up with ideas that fight off global health and development struggles. The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation started a $100 million campaign called GCE that was started in 2008. Over 61 countries and more than 1,186 projects were funded by the GCE, and any organization can apply for a grant. The application can be fulfilled online and it only comprises 2 pages. Two times a year, CGE grants $100,000, and some have the chance of getting up to $1 million, Kenny Slaught details.
